Brief system overview

Holman Engineering supplied and installed a parking guidance system at the University of Canberra to advise students and staff of available spaces across campus car parks and provide real-time information to the university’s app.

Challenge

The 120-hectare campus includes 18 different car parks, creating a need for clear guidance across a distributed site.

Holman approach

The system monitors vehicle movements using count points and Holman node points, drives LED signs and stores parking data for centralised analysis and web interface access.

Outcome

Students and staff receive better parking guidance and the university can manage car park information through a web interface and app integration.

Why it matters

Real-time parking information improves site movement.

Holman parking guidance systems combine counting, sensors, signage and reporting so drivers can find spaces faster and site operators can better understand car park performance.

Driver guidanceLive availability

Displays show the number of spaces available in the relevant car park, level, zone or section.

OperationsCentralised reporting

TrafficNet and associated interfaces support live data, history and management reporting.

IntegrationBuilt for site needs

Systems can connect with signage, web interfaces, apps and third-party services depending on the project.
