Project Snapshot

Brief system overview

The University of the Sunshine Coast required real-time parking information across multiple car parks. Holman Engineering supplied and installed a guidance system that advises students and staff of available spaces and supports live information through the university’s website.

Challenge

The campus includes multiple car parks and zones, requiring reliable guidance so drivers can find available parking faster and reduce unnecessary circulation.

Holman approach

IntelliPark monitors car movements using loop detectors and Holman node points, then displays availability on LED signs and makes the data available through web reporting.

Outcome

The system supports better use of parking areas, clearer driver information and centralised reporting for campus operations.

Why it matters

Real-time parking information improves site movement.

Holman parking guidance systems combine counting, sensors, signage and reporting so drivers can find spaces faster and site operators can better understand car park performance.

Driver guidanceLive availability

Displays show the number of spaces available in the relevant car park, level, zone or section.

OperationsCentralised reporting

TrafficNet and associated interfaces support live data, history and management reporting.

IntegrationBuilt for site needs

Systems can connect with signage, web interfaces, apps and third-party services depending on the project.
